My doctor referred me to a podiatrist saying I needed cortisone shots. Sticking a needle into my already painful feet seemed just plain crazy, so I loaded up on Naproxin and tried some cheapo Dr. Scholl's arch supports.They helped, but not enough. My chiropractor suggested Lynco Orthotics and sent me to a local shoe store where they stood me on a pressure-sensitive pad to determine which model was right for my feet. The relief was immediate and permanent. I don't take Naproxin anymore and I shift the orthotics into whichever pair of shoes or boots I plan to wear. My wife had a very similar experience. They're not cheap, but the price here is way better than the $59.99 I paid at the shoe store. And they'd be worth it to me at twice the price. L-Y-N-C-O. And no, I'm not a shill or a paid reviewer. I am, however, an overweight guy who started to running to lose weight and fell in love with running and I was seriously bummed when plantar fasciitis invaded my right foot. Seriously bummed. This is a tenacious condition, usually. And I'm on top of it. I have the Five Minute Plantar Fasciitis Cure (excellent), I walk on gravel barefoot, I roll golf balls underfoot, I ice, etc. But it kept coming on during long runs. So. I read about these orthotics while doing a google search. They're not cheap. I was fairly desperate. I had my first run with them yesterday, a slow four mile run. No pain during. After, a mild tingle where the pain used to be, and later, a bit of very minor discomfort, one percent of what it was. Today I ran a fast (for me) four miles with them and again, no pain during and, now, several hours later, a barely noticeable discomfort where it used to be seriously sore and hurting. I just...
